What is KawaiiPetMEGU.app?
KawaiiPetMEGU.app is a browser based HTML5 game based off of the now-defunct live service smartphone app "Kawaii Pet MEGU". Think of it as a Tamagotchi if it grew up on an iPod Touch.
Current features of KawaiiPetMEGU.app
- Name and raise your very own MEGU virtual pet
- Feed, pet, and interact with your MEGU to gain experience and level up
- Charge MEGU once per day to progress toward the next MEGU evolution
- Browse the MEGUpedia, view food, furniture, and house catalogue options
- All MEGU from the app are available, complete with the original English and Japanese text strings!
- Link your KawaiiPetMEGU.app account to Discord to interact with the KawaiiPetMEGU.app bot

Kawaii Pet MEGU was a virtual pet raising simulator released in 2010 in Japanese for Android and iOS, and with rather rudimentary machine translated English for iOS. It was one of the earlier pet raising smartphone apps that took advantage of social media integration as well as microtransactions. The creator of KawaiiPetMEGU.app played this game daily for years until its shutdown in 2013.
The App Store's English description of the app in 2010:
"This game features the theme of peace and love. If you raise your MEGU, you can really feel the strength of love and peace. MEGU will be the best friend you've ever had. How does your MEGU evolve? How does your MEGU grow up? You will experience that, soon."
With this project, we hope to preserve the whimsy, charm, and fun of the original game. We hope you, too, will find peace and love with MEGU.
