What is KawaiiPetMEGU.app?

It is a virtual pet raising simulator where you raise your own creature known as a MEGU. You can raise MEGU, feed them, pet them, decorate a room for them, and play various mini games together. This game is inspired by the now-defunct 2010 live service smartphone app "Kawaii Pet MEGU" by the publisher GREE. This website is unaffiliated with GREE.

The Basics: Agreeing to the Rules

By playing KawaiiPetMEGU.app, you are agreeing to follow the rules on this page. If you do not agree to the rules on this page, your only option is to not play the game.

How old do you have to be to sign up?

Anyone can play! There is no age limit for raising your MEGU and decorating your room. However, players under 13 cannot access Discord related features, nor Chalkboard communication.

Your Account

Keep your password safe and don't share it with anyone. The admin cannot view passwords, so make sure you use a real email when you sign up so you can recover your account if you lose your password Only one account per person is allowed. We will terminate accounts that break our rules. During alpha testing, you will need a key to sign up.

A Reminder About Alpha Testing

The game is a work in progress. Please expect that:

Features will change, be added, or even be removed.
You will run into bugs and glitches. That's part of testing!
The game might be offline for a while when fixing things.
Game rules and how things work will change often.

Basic Code of Conduct

The following things are bannable offenses. DO NOT:

Use the game for anything illegal.
Try to hack the game or other people's accounts.
Use bots, cheats, or other automated programs to play the game for you.
Try to sell or trade any in-game currency, items, or your account for real money.
Find a game-breaking bug and use it to your advantage or try to modify the game's code.
Create more than one account.

In-Game Money & Items

The Gold, food, furniture, elixirs, and MEGU in the game are just for entertainment. They don't have any real-world value. We can change, add, or remove any virtual items at any time. Because game is still in alpha, you might lose your items due to a bug or a rollback.We can't promise that we can restore lost items, but we'll do our best.

Your Privacy

We only collect the info we absolutely need for the game to work. The only cookie set is for your login. Discord IDs and Access Tokens are saved only if granted permission by you via the bot. Your email is for password recovery and major game announcements. All data is properly encrypted in the database and not plain text. If you want to delete your account, send us an email.

The Game Will Change (or Go Offline)

We can update, change, or even shut down the game at any time. We're not responsible if you lose your data, progress, or items. The game is provided "as is," which means we can't promise it will always work perfectly or be online 24/7. Especially during this alpha test, expect the game to be occasionally down for maintenance, or various features to not work.

Reporting Bugs

We would love your help! Please report any bugs you find. If you find a really serious bug, let the admin know privately right away.

Getting Banned

We reserve the right to terminate your account if you:

Break any of these rules.
Do something illegal.
Harass other players or abuse our systems.

Our Legal Responsibility (or Lack Thereof)

Because this is a game in testing, we can't be held legally or financially responsible for any loss of your game data, progress, or items. Essentially, if you are unhappy with the game for any reason, your only option is to stop playing.

Changes to These Rules

We might need to update these rules in the future. If we do, we'll post about any big changes via email. If you keep playing after the rules have changed, it means you agree to the new ones.
