1. The Basics: Agreeing to the Rules

By playing KawaiiPetMEGU.app, you are agreeing to follow the rules on this page. If you do not agree to the rules on this page, your only option is to not play the game.

2. What is KawaiiPetMEGU.app?

It is a virtual pet raising simulator where you raise your own creature known as a MEGU. You can raise MEGU, feed them, pet them, decorate a room for them, and play various mini games together. This game is inspired by the now-defunct 2010 live service smartphone app "Kawaii Pet MEGU" by the publisher GREE. This website is unaffiliated with GREE.

3. How old do you have to be?

• Anyone can play! There is no age limit for raising your MEGU and decorating your room.
• But you must be 13 or older to use chat features. This includes the whiteboard, sending mail, or any other social features we add. This is for safety!
• If you are under 13, you can still play, but these features will be turned off for you.
• By using the chat features, you are confirming that you are at least 13 years old.

4. Your Account

• Keep your password safe and don't share it with anyone.
• Please use a real email when you sign up so you can recover your account if you lose your password.
• Only one account per person is allowed.
• We can terminate accounts that break our rules.
• During alpha testing, you will need a key to sign up.

6. How to be a Good Player (Code of Conduct)

Please DO NOT do any of the following:

• Use the game for anything illegal.
• Try to hack the game or other people's accounts.
• Use bots, cheats, or other automated programs to get ahead.
• Harass or intimidate other players in chat or mail.
• Share anything inappropriate (like scary, violent, or adult content).
• Share your account with someone else.
• Try to sell or trade any in-game items, or your account for real money.
• Try to modify the game's code.
• Find a game-breaking bug and use it to your advantage.

7. Rules for Chatting & Mail

When you're writing on whiteboards or sending mail:

• Remember, you must be 13 or older.
• Keep it friendly and appropriate for all ages. No swearing or adult topics.
• No bullying, hate speech, or harassing others.
• For your safety, don't share personal info like your real name, address or phone number. Sharing social media handles is okay.
• We may need to look at messages to make sure everyone is following the rules.
• If you break these rules, you might lose your ability to chat or even have your account closed.
• If you see someone breaking the rules, or is harassing you, please report it to us!

8. In-Game Money & Items

• The currency (Gold), items, elixirs, and MEGU in the game are just for fun. They don't have any real-world value.
• We can change, add, or remove any virtual items at any time.
• Because game is still in alpha, you might lose your items due to a bug or a rollback.
• We can't promise that we can restore lost items, but we'll do our best.

9. Your Privacy

• We only collect the info we absolutely need for the game to work. The only cookie set is for your login.
• Your email is just for password recovery and major game announcements.
• As mentioned, we may monitor chat features to keep everyone safe.
• If you want to delete your account, just send us an email.

10. The Game Might Change or Go Offline

• We can update, change, or even shut down the game at any time.
• We're not responsible if you lose your data, progress, or items.
• The game is provided "as is," which means we can't promise it will always work perfectly or be online 24/7.
• Especially during this alpha test, expect the game to be occasionally down for maintenance, or various features to not work.

11. Reporting Bugs

• We would love your help! Please report any bugs you find.
• Please don't use bugs to cheat.
• If you find a really serious bug, let the admin know privately right away.
• Your feedback is super valuable to us while we build the game.

12. Getting Banned

We reserve the right to terminate your account if you:

• Break any of these rules.
• Do something illegal.
• Harass other players or abuse our systems.
• Are under 13 and try to use the chat features.

13. Our Legal Responsibility (or Lack Thereof)

• Because this is a game in testing, we can't be held legally or financially responsible for any loss of your game data, progress, or items.

14. Changes to These Rules

We might need to update these rules in the future. If we do, we'll post about any big changes on the login page or send an email. If you keep playing after the rules have changed, it means you agree to the new ones.
